Ellen Piper
Ellen Piper is a lay catholic with a passion to serve the “the least of Jesus’ brothers and sisters” who are chronically homeless and mentally ill, alcoholic or addicted to drugs. She has served the poor for over ten years and has been a member of Boise Catholic Worker for over eight years. She currently manages Dorothy Day Place and Thomas Merton House, both catholic worker houses of hospitality, while she pursues a degree in Mental Health and Addictions counseling.
